We started with some sea-kayaking (video of that coming soon), then visited one of La Jolla's 7 caves, checked out the resident wild-life, and drove up to Mt. Soledad. Along with Torrey Pines, La Jolla Shores was among the most scenic spots we visited on our trip.

We started blogging in 2007 to document a year-long family sailing adventure. Upon returning to our home base in Portland, Oregon, in 2008, our adventures and blogging continued. Sri Lanka and Malta took center stage for our 2018-2020 adventures. We were bicoastal (OR and PA) for a while in 2020-2022, but as we look ahead to our 16th year of posts, we're together in Oregon once again.
