Drew made cinnamon rolls for Mother's Day breakfast while Jake and Emily conducted a poetry reading from poem books they made in their block class. Being a mother of three herself, their block teacher really knows how to time and take full advantage of the 6th grade language arts poetry curriculum! 
This was followed by a neighborhood field trip to Sky High; a stop at the Farmers Market for vegetables, both ready to eat and ready to plant; and an all around nice (albeit wet) day. Jake had his final track meet of the season over the weekend, it was Freaky Friday at Bridlemile (alumni get to volunteer), and Drew set up his new man-cave in the basement.
