Carnival Malta

Click here for photos from the first day of Carnival Malta 2020 in Valletta. The festivities will continue through Tuesday, with the parades becoming more elaborate each day and local schools closed through Tuesday for the holiday. We are fairly certain there is not a single child in Malta who is not in costume this weekend, not to mention many adults. We have not yet tried it, but the Maltese treat of choice for Carnival is Prinjolata Cake, pictured below.
