We are hosting Mona, a lovely, college-age exchange student from Saudi Arabia, this weekend, so we decided to show her around the Columbia Gorge and Mt. Hood. She had never seen snow until yesterday, and it was a gorgeous, warm day to check it out. We also took her for her first sail on Friday night and are having a great time getting to know her. We started blogging in 2007 to document a year-long family sailing adventure. Upon returning to our home base in Portland, Oregon, in 2008, our adventures and blogging continued. Sri Lanka and Malta took center stage for our 2018-2020 adventures. We were bicoastal (OR and PA) for a while in 2020-2022, but as we look ahead to our 16th year of posts, we're together in Oregon once again.
