Victoria to Astoria

Drew and Pat have returned from their Memorial Day Weekend sailing adventure, helping to get a Cal-34 sailboat named Souffle from Victoria, BC, to Astoria, OR, and across the infamous Columbia Bar, which they now have an even greater appreciation for after encountering some big waves this morning.  Click here for a few photos they took with the Go-Pro along their way south.

Tree to Tree

While Pat and Drew are off adventuring in the Strait of Juan De Fuca helping deliver a sailboat back from Victoria to Portland, the twins and their friend Teis had a treetop adventure today at Tree2Tree Adventure Park near Forest Grove. Click here for photos.

End of Sailing Season Party

Tonight was the end-of-season awards dinner for Drew's sailing team. The team has grown to more than 50 sailors from high schools across Portland.  Click here for photos.   It was a fun evening, but Drew is sad to be saying farewell to his crew, Kira, and other good friends who are graduating seniors.

Robotics Scrimmage

Click here for photos of Jake's robotics team, the Starwals, competing in an exhibition robotics tournament at LHS today.  Their robot performed well - picking up and depositing blocks, hanging from a bar, and generally going where it was told - both while being remote-controlled and when performing pre-programmed maneuvers.
