Rose Festival Fireworks

The Rose Festival kicked-off on Friday... practically a guarantee for rain.  Fortunately, the showers stopped in time for our trip down the Willamette in Dreamer Too to catch the opening night fireworks show.  Click here for photos.

We the People

The twins had their congressional hearings today for Block Class with Ms. Rouse, Oregon's very well-deserved Civics Educator of the Year.  They presented to members and coaches of the LHS Constitution Team on various aspects of government, as part of a program sponsored by the Classroom Law Project.  Click here for photos.  Questions about Judicial Review should be directed to Jake, while Emily's expertise relates to the Declaration of Independence. Drew was also a Declaration expert when he participated in this same program two years ago, as pictured below.
