One of the things we love best about Portland is the ability to visit both surf and snow in the span of one weekend. We did just that, following up our beach day with some Spring skiing and snowshoeing at Mt. Hood. The day ended with the beautiful sunset pictured above.
It was 70 degrees and sunny all weekend - an incredible start to Spring and great weather for lawn bowling and some seriously competitive Easter croquet at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches. Unfortunately, we had a problem with our camera memory card and lost the photos from the mountain portion of our 3-day weekend :(.

We spent the weekend in Seattle to celebrate the beginning of the kids' Spring Break. CLICK HERE for photos*. The new Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum next to the Space Needle was amazing!
Tomorrow, we'll be celebrating Drew's #17 birthday... a day he shares with his cousin Abby, who is turning 3. Happy Birthday Abby!

On May 11, Drew will be participating in the Willamette Sailing Club's youth sail-a-thon, a fundraiser for the club's recently launched capital campaign to build a new sailing center. He is looking for sponsors (lump sum or $ per lap pledges) and thanks you for your consideration.
Team Lincoln peformed well in their Seattle Sand Point regatta. Drew and his partner, Kira, are pictured above in Boat #10, leading a pack that included more than 25 sailboats in their final race of the weekend. Click here to see additional photos from their races.
We took Dreamer Too on a cruise down the Willamette today to enjoy the (reasonably) nice weather we're having. Jake did a great job capturing the sights with the camera, when he wasn't driving. Click here to see his photo album.
The twins and friends are celebrating today... Jake's Destination Imagination team took 1st place at the Portland Metro Regional Tournament in the Twist-O-Rama structural challenge, and Emily's team placed 2nd in Change-in-Realitee, an improv challenge. Click here for photos.
Both teams advance to the State Tournament in April. Emily competed in both challenges, subbing for an absent teammate on the boys' team... thank you sis!
