We started blogging in 2007 to document a year-long family sailing adventure. Upon returning to our home base in Portland, Oregon, in 2008, our adventures and blogging continued. Sri Lanka and Malta took center stage for our 2018-2020 adventures. We were bicoastal (OR and PA) for a while in 2020-2022, but as we look ahead to our 16th year of posts, we're together in Oregon once again.
Drew missed part of Reeve's festivities in order to entertain guests as a stilt walker for the Mardi Gras-themed Bridlemile Auction. Here are a few photos of he and his friends at work.
We spent the weekend exploring Mt. Hood on snowshoes. We started with a 5-mile trek from Ski Bowl East to Ski Bowl West, continuing up the mountain for lunch at the Warming Hut.
The next day we hiked the 6-mile loop around Trillium Lake, on the south side of Mt. Hood. Lots of new snow fell during our visit, making the scenery extra beautiful and the snow extra deep.
Drew celebrated the end of his first high school finals week with a weekend of painting. Click here to see him in action. He and Pat also got some skiing in, but they were too busy enjoying the sunshine to take pictures.
Emily had a dance recital yesterday - a performance/final for her dance class elective, which included jazz and tap. Click here to see photos. It was quite a show!
